Portuguese soprano Eva Braga Simões is a founding member of the Quarto Tom Ensemble, the Casa da Música Choir, and the Cupertinos ensemble, with which she received the Gramophone Classical Music Award in 2019. Her discography has also received recognition at the PLAY – Portuguese Music Awards, having been a finalist in the 2020 and 2023 editions and winning the Best Classical Music Album award in 2021. In 2023, received also a second nomination for the international Gramophone Awards in the Best Early Music Album category.

Eva has specialised in early and contemporary music repertoires, she has developed an intense activity as a soloist, regularly collaborating with internationally renowned musicians and conductors, including Paul Hillier, Peter Rundel, Graham O’Reilly, Peter Phillips, Katie Thomas, Giampaolo di Rosa, James Wood, Kaspars Putniņš, Nils Schweckendiek, Léo Warinski, Sofi Jeannin, Andrew Parrott, Laurence Cummings, Arianna Savall, and Steve Reich. In parallel, she has collaborated with several prominent ensembles on the European scene, such as Ars Nova Copenhagen, Theatre of Voices, Ensemble Psallentes (Belgium), Arianna Ensemble (Spain), Chamber Choir Ireland, Ludovice Ensemble, and Drumming GP (Portugal).
In 2026, in addition to new album releases with labels such as IBS Classical and Hyperion Records, Eva will make her stage debut alongside soprano and conductor Barbara Hannigan.
